EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 26th, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's women's rugby returns to the pitch here at home this weekend to welcome the Army Black Knights. The Mountaineers are 1-2 on the season with their lone win at Princeton, 27-26.
 
MOUNT UPDATE
 
The Mountaineers last competed at Echo Field when hosting the Sacred Heard Pioneers where they fell to defeat, 55-5. The Mount showed prowess on defense early on in this game, while having opportunities to reverse field and score themselves. It wasn't until the 13th minute that the Pioneers were able to cross the try line.  The Mountaineers punched one through in the 63rd minute via a Caliann Dietz try, assisted by Riley Sibilia.
 
SCOUTING THE BLACK KNIGHTS
 
Army is 1-3 on the season with their lone win against the Long Island Sharks, 39-5. The Black knights' try ratio is 61-122 (0.5) and are 1-2 in away games. Alissa Eisenhart led Army in their lone win over Long Island with two tries and four conversion kicks.
