EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 26^th, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's women's rugby returns to the pitch here at home this weekend to welcome the Army Black Knights. The Mountaineers are 1-2 on the season with their lone win at Princeton, 27-26.
 
MOUNT UPDATE
 
The Mountaineers last competed at Echo Field when hosting the Sacred Heard Pioneers where they fell to defeat, 55-5. The Mount showed prowess on defense early on in this game, while having opportunities to reverse field and score themselves. It wasn't until the 13^th minute that the Pioneers were able to cross the try line.  The Mountaineers punched one through in the 63^rd minute via a Caliann Dietz try, assisted by Riley Sibilia.
 
SCOUTING THE BLACK KNIGHTS
 
Army is 1-3 on the season with their lone win against the Long Island Sharks, 39-5. The Black knights' try ratio is 61-122 (0.5) and are 1-2 in away games. Alissa Eisenhart led Army in their lone win over Long Island with two tries and four conversion kicks.
