March 25, 2023—The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams were in action at both Navy and Ursinus on Saturday. At Ursinus,
Keighan DeCoff won the discus while
Jaelyn Chevannes took home first in the hammer throw to lead the way.

Ann Marie Oriakhi had the Mount on top of the discus throw results with DeCoff winning with a toss of 38.96m (127' 10") while Oriakhi was second with a mark of 37.46m (122' 11"). Chevannes won the hammer throw with a mark of 41.35m (135' 8") while
Syanni Bagwell was fourth with a throw of 34.77m (114' 1").  Teirney McCarroll had a second-place mark in the javelin (33.28m, 109' 2") while
Avery Ferron (13.14) and
Alexis Zimmerman (13.19) finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 100m dash.Â
Natalie Spadaccini added a third-place finish in the 800m run (2:28.91) with
Jannah Hall placing fourth in the 100m hurdles (17.16).
At Navy,
Garcelle Pierre's fourth-place finish in the 100m dash (13.00) led the Mountaineers with Sarah Purnell finishing fourth in the 100m hurdles (15.86).Â
Sarah Purdy was fifth in the 100m hurdles (16.73) and fourth in the 400m hurdles (1:12.09).
The Mountaineers return to the track next weekend at the High Point VertKlasse Meeting and the Towson Invitational.
