Emmitsburg, Md. (March 23, 2023) – Mount baseball has been nothing short of impressive in this four-game stretch. Coach Leoni and his unit have scored at least a run in 18 consecutive innings going into this weekend. The Mountaineers are 10-9 on the season and open conference play with a home bout against the Golden Griffins starting Friday at 3 p.m.

David Stirpe finished 3-4 at the plate, with a three run-homerun and drew two walks.
Brady Drawbaugh and
Shane Wockley joined the party with homers of their own, the third for Wockley in two games. Drawbaugh added to his season tally (7) in steals after stealing once, while
Tristan McAlister looted the basepath after successfully stealing twice.
Scott Seeker,
JT Landwehr, and Wockley all managed a 2-4 day offensively. Seeker drew a walk, scored once, and tallied an RBI, while Wockley drew a walk and crossed the plate three times with an RBI.
Danny Salisbury recorded his first win of the season after pitching 3 2/3 innings, allowed no runs with two hits, and struck three batters out.
Scott Seeker took the lead in batting average, now batting a .371 with five homeruns and 15 RBIs through 70 at bats. Aidan Tierney right behind batting a .358 and
Jayson Kramer batting a .333.
SCOUTING CANISIUS
The Golden Griffins are 3-11 on the season and entering conference play. The team dropped the past three to Kent State, allowing double digit runs in each loss. Vincent Dylan and Kyle Kush lead the team's average batting a .263 and .262. The team bats a collective .203 while able to score 46 runs through 14 games.
Matt Duffy is 0-1 on the season and maintains a 5.54 ERA with 26 strikeouts through 21 innings. Aaron Duffy behind him with an ERA of 10.43, is 1-2 on the year, and has tallied 13 strikeouts through 14 2/3 innings.
