MOUNT UPDATE:  Mount St. Mary's won three of four games at the Mount Softball Invitational this past weekend.  After splitting Saturday's games with a 5-2 win over Central Connecticut and a 4-2 extra-inning loss to St. Bonaventure, the Mount cruised to a pair of double-digits wins on Sunday with a 12-0 victory over CCSU and an 11-0 rout of St. Bonaventure.  The Mount pitching staff shined at the Mount Softball Invitational, posting a combined 0.84 ERA with four different pitchers earning a complete-game victory.  On Sunday, Amaya Bowman pitched a two-hit shutout in the win over CCSU with Olivia Murphy following with a one-hit shutout over St. Bonaventure.  At the plate, Maggie Kane hit .300 in the four games including a grand slam in the win over Central Connecticut.  Hannah Gartrell (.444) and Mariah Godde (.400) also had strong weekends at the plate.

ABOUT NORTH DAKOTA:  North Dakota played at the UCF Round Robin last weekend, recording a 1-4 record at the event.  The Fighting Hawks started with a 12-9 win over Penn, but followed with losses to Kennesaw State twice, Toledo and host Central Florida.  North Dakota enters the twinbill tomorrow with a 2-22 record on the season.  Isabella Haslett leads North Dakota with a .352 average this season while Madison Pederson is hitting .302 with three home runs and 16 RBI.  Makaela Carr is 2-4 with a 5.58 ERA to lead the pitching staff.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES WITH THE FIGHTING HAWKS:  Mount St. Mary's is 0-2 all-time against North Dakota with both losses coming at the Hatter Classic hosted by Stetson.  The Mount lost to the Fighting Hawks, 11-2,

UP NEXT:  The Mountaineers host North Dakota for a doubleheader on Wednesday, March 15, at Our Lady of the Meadows Field.  The first game starts at 2:00 p.m.
