The Mount is coming off a 5-1 win versus Longwood to increase to 3-0. Junior
Tyler Long played strong offensively this past weekend posting a team leading .727 batting average, scoring five runs on eight hits, with two doubles and an RBI. Senior
David Stirpe hit homeruns in consecutive at bats in game three. Senior
Luke Pryor pitched 4.2 innings while allowing no runs on no hits.
Freshman
Jeff Davis made an instant impact to the team by pitching three innings over two games, recording four strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA. Davis picked up a save with two strikeouts in the bottom of the ninth in game two, and a win in game three also earning two strikeouts.
ABOUT COPPIN STATE
The Eagles started out 3-0 after a St. Peter's sweep at home this past weekend. Coppin's offense was a key to their success this weekend, posting a team .393 batting average. Sam Nieves leads the team with a .625 batting average.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Mount St. Mary's holds a 31-10-1 record against the Eagles. On April 27
th, 2022, The Mount won what is known as the "Marathon Game" as there were 38 runs scored in the contest. The Mount won 21-17.

The Mount travels to Winston-Salem, N.C. to compete in a four-game tournament hosted by Wake Forest with the first game versus Towson Friday, February 24
th at 12 p.m. through Sunday.
