EMMITSBURG, Md. (November 21, 2023) – Days after receiving an all-conference selection, Mount St. Mary's sophomore 2-meter Chrysostomos Valavanis earned a Second Team spot for the All-Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Tournament Team.  
 
Over the course of three games against Bucknell, Johns Hopkins, and George Washington, Valavanis scored nine goals, with a game-high of four against the Bison on Friday. He also excelled at drawing exclusions, creating eight power play opportunities and one 5-meter penalty attempt.
 
In 30 games this season, the Athens, Greece native finished with 67 goals on 39 percent shooting, and completed 95 drawn exclusions on the year.
 
The Mountaineers finished the 2023 season with a record of 7-23.
