Mount St. Mary's hosts Niagara on Wednesday in another key Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup.  The Mount and Niagara are currently tied for sixth in the MAAC standings with four points each.

MOUNT UPDATE:  Mount St. Mary's got back in the win column with a 1-0 victory over Saint Peter's at home on Saturday afternoon.  Madison Bee's goal in the 34th minute was the game-winner.  Bee scored on a header on a terrific cross from Nicole Wilson.  Bee and Luisangely Navas are tied with the team lead with two goals each while Navas has a team-high five points. Klil Keshwar, who made a pair of saves in the Mount's 1-0 win over Saint Peter's, has started eight games in goal with a 1.25 goals against average and 44 saves (.815 save percentage).    

ABOUT NIAGARA:  Niagara lost at home to Fairfield, 2-1, this past Saturday to fall to 2-8-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the MAAC.  The Purple Eagles are 1-3-0 on the road this season with the win coming at Iona.  Emily Hahnel and Katie Diem are tied for the team lead with two goals each while Amanda Cripps has a team-best two assists.  In goal, Agnes Stenlund has started the past two games in goal and has a 1.00 goals against average and 10 saves (.833) save percentage in those contest.  Felicia Grufman (6GP, 3.27 GAA, 35 saves) and Kelsey Riordan (4GP, 1.57 GAA, 24 saves) have also seen time in goal this year for Niagara.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES WITH NIAGARA:  Niagara defeated the Mount, 3-0, in the first-ever matchup between the two teams last year.

LAST YEAR'S MEETING:  Niagara scored three times in the first half en route to a 3-0 win over the Mount last year.  Nikki van Wees opened the scoring in the ninth minute with Annie Ibey and Djeynaba Thiam adding goals later in the half to build the lead.  Niagara held an 11-to-7 shot advantage in the game, and a 6-to-5 edge in shots on goal.  The Mount also had a 5-to-2 edge in corner kicks.

UP NEXT:  The Mount heads to Marist for a 1:00 p.m. matchup on Saturday, October 7.
