Kevin Giblin to be Inducted into NILCA Hall of Fame

EMMITSBURG, Md.  (July 7, 2022)Kevin Giblin, assistant coach and defensive coordinator for Mount St. Mary's men's lacrosse, will receive induction into the National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association this November.
 
Before arriving in Emmitsburg, Giblin enjoyed a storied career in the high school ranks, most occurring at Georgetown Prep in Bethesda, Md. A perennial top ranked team, the Hoyas were always among the best in the Washington, D.C. area and consistently a national power. The pinnacle of his career came in 2003 and 2006, when Georgetown Prep won STX/Inside Lacrosse National Championships. He was a 11-time Coach of the Year for the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference and oversaw 36 players selected as High School All-Americans.
 
Combined experience at Georgetown Prep and later at Bishop O'Connell propelled Giblin to more than 450 wins as an interscholastic coach.
 
Beyond the lacrosse field, he also served as an educator for 30 years, with duties including Assistant Head of School to teaching and serving as a department chair.
 
Giblin is already a member of the Potomac Chapter of the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the Georgetown Preparatory School Hall of Fame.
 
The ceremony takes place November 12th at the Plandome Country Club in Plandome, New York. Giblin is one of 10 coaches to earn induction this fall.
