The Mount St. Mary's softball team is headed to the 2022 Northeast Conference Tournament.  The tournament will be hosted by Saint Francis University on May 12-14.
  • Mount St. Mary's earned the No. 2 seed at this year's Northeast Conference Tournament.  The Mount finished the regular season with a 25-20 overall record and a 17-7 mark in NEC play.  The Mount's 17 NEC wins are a program record and the second-place finish is the highest by a Mount team since the school joined the NEC in 1989-90.
  • This will be the 10th time the Mount has participated in the NEC Tournament.  The Mount appeared in the NEC Tournament from 1990-95 when all teams qualified.  In 1998, the Mount was the No. 6 seed in the six-team tournament.  This will be just the third time the Mount has earned a spot at the NEC Tournament since the conference moved to a four-team format, joining the 2006 and 2019 squads.  The Mountaineers are 3-18 all-time in NEC Tournament games with wins coming against St. Francis Brooklyn (1990, 1995) and Sacred Heart (2019).
  • The Mountaineers will face Fairleigh Dickinson in their opening game at the NEC Tournament, the first time these two teams will be meeting in an NEC Tournament matchup.  The Mount won two of three games  against the Knights at home on April 15-16 this season.   Overall, the Mountaineers hold a 25-18 lead in the all-time series that began in 2001.  The Mount is 12-13 against FDU during head coach Anna Nagro's tenure.
  • Mount St. Mary's is 25-20 on the season, tied for the third-most wins in a season in program history.  The program record is 31 wins set by the 2006 team while the 2019 squad won 26 games.  The Mount has clinched a winning record this season, the first time the Mount has had a winning season since the 2006 team went 31-25.
  • Sophomore Bridgette Gilliano is sixth in NCAA Division I with 39 stolen bases this season and fourth with 0.89 stolen bases per game.  The 39 steals have smashed the Mount's single-season record  of 21 set by Nikki Wisniewski in 1999.  Gilliano needs two steals to tie the Northeast Conference record of 41 set by Nicole Alvarez of Monmouth in 2007.  Gilliano has 50 career stolen bases at the Mount, second all-time behind Patti Schaefer's 67.   She has recorded two or more steals in a game 12 times this season, topped by a career-best four in the Mount's 5-2 win at Howard on March 5.
