EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 28, 2022) – After a tough and long win at Coppin State, the Mountaineers come back home for a three-game series against the Bryant Bulldogs.
ABOUT THE MOUNT: The Mount is riding a two-game win streak with their last game being a 21-17 win at Coppin State on Wednesday.
Tyler Long led the way for the Mountaineers on offense with two hits, two RBIs, and four runs.
Tristan McAlister had also got two hits and a run on the day as well.
Ryan Fisher delivered a grand slam to help the Mount jump to a 9-0 lead.
McAlister leads the Mount in batting average for qualified at-bats with a .315, 40 hits, and 22 runs.
Cooper Adams leads his team in strikeouts this year with a total of 42.
ABOUT BRYANT: Defending their NEC regular season title, Bryant University heads into this series with a record of 18-20 on the season. They have a winning record of 8-7 against the conference and try to keep it up against the Mount, as they are in the final spot for the postseason. In their last game, the Bulldogs lost a close game of 5-4 at Quinnipiac in 10 innings.
Matt Woods leads his team in hitting with 54 hits, 28 runs, and 31 RBIs. Collin Lowe leads his team in pitching with a 2.90 ERA.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. BRYANT: With an all-time series of 5-41, the Mount comes into this game with a five-game losing streak against the Bulldogs. The Mount's last game against Bryant University was a 20-3 loss at their place. The Mount is 3-19 at home against Bryant.
