EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 28, 2022) – Looking to shake off the conference series at Fairleigh Dickinson, Mount St. Mary's aims a season sweep of the Bucknell Bison.
ABOUT THE MOUNT
Entering Tuesday with a 4-14 record, the Mount fell three times to FDU over the weekend. The Knights found a way to secure a big inning in each of the contests.
Aiden Tierney led the offense with a 6-for-11 weekend, adding three runs scored and three more driven in. The sophomore played a role for about one-third of the Mountaineers' offense in the series.
Thomas Bramley walked off the home portion of the Bucknell series on March 16
th, smacking a ball to dead center for the 4-3, 10
th inning win. The senior continues to lead qualified batting averages with a .338 (22-65).
ABOUT BUCKNELL
Standing at 9-12 but 6-2 in the Patriot League, the Bison took three conference contests in Lewisburg, defeating Army twice in a doubleheader and taking the opener over Holy Cross.
Five Bucknell batsmen log averages over .300, led by Anthony Sherwin with a .333 (27-81). Sherwin is also the team's premier extra base hitter with nine doubles and a triple. On the mound the Bison tally a 6.41 ERA, but struggle in the walk-to-strikeout ratio – 105 free passes to 121 fanned batters.

Mount St. Mary's seeks their fourth consecutive win over Bucknell, with the last two coming in walk-off fashion.
