Eight different Mountaineers scored as the visitors came into "The Sauna" and took a wire-to-wire finish. The closest Wittenberg would get was a 2-1 score in the first quarter before a 3-0 run helped the Mount to a convincing lead. Any semblance of doubt wiped away in the third, as Mount St. Mary's posted a seven spot.

The 18 goals are the most for the team in any game during the program's history, beating a one-week-old record.

Samantha Bright supplied 13 saves to start the game before Sibley Kuder saw playing time in the fourth, adding two more.

The back half of Saturday proved to be more of a struggle for the Mountaineers. Tough defense held the game close, and the Lakers limited the Mount to one game in the second quarter.

With the halftime advantage at one point, the Mount held off several 6v5 opportunities and converted their chance, helping themselves to a three spot and a 7-4 edge. Defense continued to assist in the closing minutes, and offense found their rhythm to help secure the sweep.

Of the 10 moments for 6v5 enjoyed the Mount in the nightcap, six were forced by Valentine. The freshman now leads the team with 11 drawn exclusions.

Mount St. Mary's travels to the Princeton Invitational next weekend.
