Carter Nave broke his own school record in the pole vault while
Richard Gilchrist tied the school record in the 60m hurdles to lead the Mount St. Mary's Indoor Track and Field teams this weekend. The Mount had athletes competing at the Akron Invitational and the Frank Colden Invitational at Ursinus College this weekend.
Nave had a mark of 5.15m (16' 10.25") his previous school-record mark of 5.05m (16' 6.75") set at the IC4A Championships in March of 2020. He finished as the top collegiate performer in the Gold Division at Akron.Â
Arran Fahey won the pole vault in the Blue Division at Akron with a mark of 4.70m (15' 5") with
Carter Holsinger finishing second at 4.55m (14' 11"). Gilchrist tied the school record in the 60m hurdles by winning the Gold Division at Akron in a time of 7.97 seconds.Â
Matthew LeRoux finished fifth in the 60m hurdles (8.57) and
Will Stephenson sixth (8.60).
Dylan LaNoue continued his strong season by winning the triple jump in the Gold Division at Akron with a leap of 14.94m (49' 0.25") while
D.J. Hamilton was fourth in the Gold Division at 14.41m (47' 3.5"). In the sprints,
Todd Charles won the 60m dash with a time of 6.90 seconds while finishing third in the 200m dash in the Gold Division with a mark of 22.19 seconds.
Justyn Seivright won the 400m dash in the Blue Division at Akron (49.67) with
Daniel Reader second in the Blue Division (49.95).Â
Dominique Jeffery was fifth in the 400m dash in the Gold Division while
Michelle Weaver and
Paul Fagnano each finished fifth in the Gold Division in the men's and women's 5,000m run, respectively.
Logan Hart was fifth in the women's Gold Division triple jump while
Emma Aller Espina was second in the triple jump in the Blue Division.
Justin Evans paced the Mountaineers at Ursinus by winning the 400m dash.
The Mount is back in action on Feb. 12 with a meet at Susquehanna.
