EMMITSBURG, Md. (December 19, 2022) – Mount St. Mary's men's water polo sophomore Tommaso Baldineti received an Honorable Mention All-American honor from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches Monday.
 
The attacker from Recco, Italy had an impressive debut season in Emmitsburg. Playing 28 of the team's 29 games, he scored 147 times for an average of 5.25 goals per game. Precisely half of his attempts landed in the back of the net. In addition to his goal-scoring prowess, Baldineti added 66 assists, 65 steals and 58 drawn exclusions.
 
Single-game accolades include a program record 10 goals in the win against Gannon September 24^th. Baldineti also set individual high marks for drawn exclusions with 10 at home against Wagner November 5^thand seven assists versus Gannon in the same game where he set the goals record.
 
Thanks in large part to two wins at the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Tournament, Mount St. Mary's captured their second winning season in three years of play. They finished 15-14 with a 6-10 mark in conference action.
 
The men's team is set to compete next fall, with the women's team beginning play in January.
