WATCH (WAGNER)

EMMITSBURG, Md. (November 4, 2022) – Mount St. Mary's men's water polo wraps up the 2022 regular season with a pair of Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) contests. They host Wagner on Saturday evening before making the journey up Highway 15 to face Bucknell Sunday.

MOUNT UPDATE

Standing in sixth place in the MAWPC, the Mount is 13-11 with a 6-8 mark in league play. Facing a challenging end to their season, they lost games at Wagner, Fordham, and George Washington last weekend.

If they are slotted as the No. 6 seed for the postseason tournament, they would face the No. 11 seed in the first round. Projections have either Mercyhurst or McKendree landing in that position.

Alexandros Bellesis led the team in goals with 10 across the three games. Goalkeepers Joseph Maxson and Sherif Hosni combined to record 28 saves.

THE OPPONENTS

Wagner stands in third in the MAWPC standings with Bucknell right behind them in fourth. The Seahawks are 15-11 (9-5 MAWPC) while the Bison are 12-13 (8-5 MAWPC).

Laszlo Strasser is the leading point scorer for Wagner and Aleksa Stefanovic leads for Bucknell.
