This is the second time this week Mount St. Mary's battles Johns Hopkins. Wednesday's conference showdown saw the Mount claim victory 16-12. Six different players scored, with seven from Tommaso Baldineti and a hat trick from Michael Lemishko. Goaltender Joseph Maxson finished with a season-high 15 saves.

In the MAWPC standings, the Mount holds down fourth place with a 4-3 mark and eight points. George Washington, Bucknell and Fordham are the squads ahead of the Mountaineers.

Baldineti has 90 goals, 47 assists, 34 steals and 27 drawn exclusions – all team highs. Alexandros Bellesis leads in field blocks with 11, and Maxson eclipsed 100 saves with a total of 114.

THE OPPONENTS

Leading the MAWPC, George Washington brings their near unblemished record to Emmitsburg. A perfect 7-0 in league games, the Colonials ride a 13-game streak into the contest. After losing to #11 Princeton in the opener, they have conquered every opponent since, including a win over #18 St. Francis Brooklyn in non-conference action. Theodoros Pateros leads with 63 of the team's 231 goals, and Nick Schroeder bears 24 assists to his credit. Keeper Luca Castorina rejects shots at a clip of 55 percent.

The nightcap is the second of two games for Johns Hopkins, who will travel down from Bucknell earlier Saturday. Entering the day, the Blue Jays are 7-12 with a 2-4 record in MAWPC play. Leading goal scorer Emerson Sullivan posted half of the team's goals Wednesday with six. Kyle Pearson stopped one-third of the Mount's shots, bringing his season total to 169.

ALL-TIME SERIES

George Washington took both matches during the fall of 2021. The Colonials won 20-13 in September and 12-11 on October 31st. Johns Hopkins and the Mount are level at 2-2 thanks to the Mountaineers' victory last Wednesday.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

Another doubleheader awaits the Mount October 15th when they host Bucknell and Navy.
