Mount St. Mary's is back in action with a two-game road trip to the state of North Carolina. The Mount will face Davidson on Friday night before playing at Campbell on Sunday. Friday's game will not be live streamed, but Mount fans can tune in on Sunday to Campbell's broadcast on ESPN+.
MOUNT UPDATE: Mount St. Mary's opened the 2021 season with back-to-back overtime setbacks. In the season opener at Radford,
Madison Bee scored with 19 seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime, but Radford came away with the game-winner in the second overtime period. On Saturday in the home opener, Robert Morris edged the Mount, 2-1, in overtime.  Bee and
Kalli Bell both have one goal on the year to lead the team in scoring while
Shannon Bonner has picked up the Mount's lone assist this year.Â
Maggie Barron (0-1, 2.64 GAA, .700 Save Pct.) played in goal against Radford while
Arden Lembryk (0-1, 1.91 GAA, .800 Save Pct.) played against Robert Morris.
LAST TIME OUT: Robert Morris edged the Mount, 2-1, in overtime in the home opener on Saturday. The Colonials scored 4:09 into the extra period to secure the win. After Robert Morris jumped out to the 1-0 lead, the Mount evened the score on an own goal after a Robert Morris player tapped the ball into her own net on a scramble after a
Lindsay Reightler shot.Â
Arden Lembryk made eight saves for the Mount in goal while
Elisabeth Rockhill had a team-high four shots. The Mount was outshot in the game, 19-to-14, including a 10-to-5 edge in shots on goal.
ABOUT DAVIDSON: Davidson has opened the 2021 season with back-to-back home victories. The Wildcats topped Gardner-Webb, 3-1, in the season opener behind a pair of goals from Aleia Gisolfi-McCready. Davidson followed with a 2-1 victory over Georgia Southern, rallying for a pair of goals in the final 20 minutes to secure the win. Emma Nguyen scored the game-winner in the 81
st minute. Gisolfi-McCready leads the team with four points (2g) while Sophia Caruso has three (1g, 1a). In goal, Mary Grace Bunch has started both contests, posting a 0.52 goals against average and a .800 save percentage. Davidson was picked seventh in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES WITH DAVIDSON: This will be the first-ever meeting between the Mount and Davidson. The Mountaineers are 1-8-1 all-time against teams in the Atlantic 10 Conference, but have not played an Atlantic 10 opponent since a 6-0 loss at VCU on September 20, 2015. The Mountaineers are 1-1-0 vs. Saint Joseph's, 0-3-1 vs. George Washington, 0-2-0 vs. Temple, 0-1 vs. VCU and 0-1 vs. Duquesne.
ABOUT CAMPBELL: Campbell opened the 2021 season with a 7-1 loss at Georgia on August 19. The Camels had their next game canceled due to an unplayable field due to rain. Campbell will host NC State on Thursday, August 26, prior to welcoming the Mount on Sunday. Laney Peabody tallied Campbell's goal in the loss to Georgia with Cazzi Norgren picking up an assist. Stephanie Martelli started in goal, allowing three goals with two saves in 39:07 of action with Duval Reaghan playing the remaining 50:53 with six saves and four goals allowed. Campbell won the Big South title last year, finishing 8-4-1 on the season, including a 1-0 loss to Iowa in the NCAA Tournament. The Camels were picked second in the Big South Preseason Poll.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES WITH CAMPBELL: Campbell is 2-0 all-time against the Mountaineers, posing a 2-0 win at the Mount on Sept. 23, 1997, and a 3-0 victory in the last matchup at the Mount's Waldron Family Stadium on Sept. 5, 2019. This year's meeting between the two teams is the return game from the 2019 matchup.
OVERTIME: The Mountaineers have lost in overtime in each of their first two games this season. It is the first time the Mount has opened with back-to-back overtime games since 2011. That year, the Mount downed Rider, 1-0, in overtime in the season opener before falling to Saint Joseph's, 1-0, in overtime in the next game. The Mountaineers are 17-29-35 all-time in overtime games with head coach
Tori Krause posting an 0-2-2 mark in overtime affairs. The record for most overtime games in a season was set by the 2010 team that had eight overtime games.
KRAUSE FACING ALMA MATER:Â Head coach
Tori Krause will be facing her alma mater for the first time as a head coach when the Mount battles Davidson on Friday night. A 2014 graduate of Davidson, Krause appeared in 51 games for the Wildcats, tallying three goals and an assist in her career.
BUONOMO COLLECTS ALL-NEC HONORS:Â Graduate student
Maria Buonomo has been named Second Team All-Northeast Conference on defense in each of the past three seasons. She is the second Mountaineer to earn three All-NEC conference honors, joining Amanda Gilbert, who was named First Team in 1996 and 1997 and Second Team in 1998.
ROCKHILL NAMED FIRST TEAM ALL-NEC:Â Graduate student
Elisabeth Rockhill led the Mount in scoring last season with seven points (3g, 1a) en route to First Team All-Northeast Conference honors. She is the first Mountaineer to be named First Team All-NEC since goalkeeper Anna Lebo in 2007.
BARRON EARNS SPOT ON SECOND TEAM:Â Graduate student
Maggie Barron was named Second Team All-Northeast Conference in goal this past Spring. Barron joins an impressive list as she becomes the sixth Mountaineer goalie to earn an All-NEC selection in their career. The others Mount All-NEC honorees include Nicki Trumpler (1
st Team in 1998), Margaret Pyzik (2
nd Team in 2004), Anna Lebo, 1
st Team in 2006 and 2007),
Alicia Miller (2
nd Team in 2011) and Rachel Bourne (2
nd Team in 2015).
MOUNT PLACES THREE ON ALL-NEC TEAMS IN SPRING:Â The Mount had three players earn All-Northeast Conference honors this past Spring.Â

Maggie Barron collected Second Team All-NEC honors. It was the first time since 1998 that the Mount had three players earn All-NEC accolades.
HEAD COACH TORI KRAUSE: Head coach Toi Krause is in her fourth season at the helm of the Mount women's soccer program. This past spring, Krause led the Mount to a 4-5-0 record, the team's highest winning percentage (.444) since the 2000 team went 7-8-2 (.471). Krause is a 2014 graduate of Davidson where she appeared in 51 career games.
