EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 24, 2021) – The first season for Mount St. Mary's women's water polo wrapped up Saturday with a pair of defeats at the Collegiate Water Polo Association Championships. The Mount fell 16-0 to Michigan and 17-1 to Saint Francis U.
Emily Van Kerckhove scored the team's goal in the second quarter against the Red Flash. The freshman added three steals in the finale.
Rebekka Williams saved seven shots with a pair of steals.
The Mountaineers were blanked by the Wolverines in the opener, with Williams saving six shots.
Ana Luisa Cotta had the most opportunities for a goal with seven shots.
The season concludes with the Mount finishing 0-15.
