EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 14, 2021) – Mount St. Mary's baseball takes to the road this weekend, challenging Fairleigh Dickinson in a series where both teams are looking to climb out from the bottom of the Northeast Conference standings.
ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mountaineers ride a 10-game slide into the weekend, with sweeps at the hands of Bryant, Central Connecticut, and Sacred Heart. Sunday's match with the Pioneers tied the closest margin of defeat during the streak as the Mountaineers fell 6-4.
Boosted by a .500 series (6-for-12) against Sacred Heart,
Ryan Haddaway leads the Mount with a .303 batting average.
ABOUT FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON
FDU is also looking to end a seven-game losing streak of their own. The Knights last won March 27
th with a 5-2 win over Central Connecticut.
Mike Viet is hitting .304 for the Knights, and starter James Donlan has amassed a 2.35 ERA in three spot starts.
