EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 5, 2021) – After experiencing their first-ever game action two weeks ago at Salem University, Mount St. Mary's men's water polo will begin another new chapter with their home debut. The Mount will play twice in a tripleheader also featuring Gannon and Mercyhurst.
Fans are not permitted to attend due to COVID-19 regulations. All games will be streamed on NEC Front Row.
SETTING THE SCENE
The Mount fell 26-5 in their opening game against Gannon in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Marko Kruska scored the first goal in program history with 2:37 remaining in the first quarter. During the nightcap, six Mountaineers recorded goals in an exhibition with Salem.
SCOUTING GANNON AND MERCYHURST
The Golden Knights enter with a 1-0 record, thanks to their triumph over the Mount. Seth Johnson led the team in the victory with five goals. They are looking to continue their success after going 18-4 last year.
Mercyhurst is seeing their first game action in 454 days, with their last game coming in November 2019. The Lakers finished 9-17 in 2019, and will have to make up losing their top four goal scorers from that season. Mount St. Mary's head coach

LOOKING AHEAD
The final regular season weekend of the shortened season is slated to take place in Morgantown on the 13
th and 14
th. Mount St. Mary's will rematch with Salem, and play introductory contests with Washington & Jefferson and McKendree.
