EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 29, 2021) – The Mount St. Mary's water polo team gears up for a pair of Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference East games. After facing Bucknell on the road, the squad hosts George Washington in their long-awaited home opener on Sunday.
MOUNT UPDATE
Jason O'Donnell reached the 75 goal mark this season after scoring five times in the Mount's defeat at Navy. The sophomore has multiple goals in 18 contests, 16 of those counting as hat tricks. He is also near the top of the Mount's leaderboard in efficiency, scoring a little under half his shots.
With last Friday's loss, the Mount stand at 6-14 with a 1-4 mark in conference play, placing them sixth in the standings.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
George Washington stands in a second-place tie in the MAWPC East with Navy, as both sides have four victories on the season. Bucknell is behind them in fourth, earning six points. Josh Yardley leads the Bison in goals with 47, and Andres Levai guides the Colonials with 38 goals and 63 points.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Mount St. Mary's fell 20-13 in their first-ever meeting with the Colonials back in September. Saturday marks the first matchup between the Mountaineers and the Bison.

Home for the rest of the season, the Mount welcomes Fordham and Wagner to Emmitsburg next weekend.
