The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's tennis teams close out the fall season by hosting the Mount St. Mary's Duals this weekend. 

FORMAT:  Teams will play modified dual matches that will have three singles and one doubles match.

Saturday, October 30
11:00 am:  Mount St. Mary's men vs. Harford CC men; Mount St. Mary's women vs. Morgan State women
3:00 p.m.:  Loyola men vs. Harford CC men; Loyola women vs. Delaware State women
6:30 p.m.:  Delaware State women vs. Morgan State women
Sunday, October 31
9:00 a.m.:  Mount St. Mary's women vs. Delaware State women
1:00 p.m.:  Mount St. Mary's men vs. Loyola men; Mount St. Mary's women vs. Loyola women
5:00 p.m.:  Morgan State women vs. Loyola women

MEN'S TEAM LAST TIME OUT:  The Mount participated in the ITA Atlantic Regional hosted by the United States Naval Academy on October 14-17.  Filippos Zacchiotis won his opening round match before falling in the round of 64 to pace the Mount in singles play.  Zachiotis, Jarrett Karnibad and Giovanni Abriola each went 2-2 in singles at the tournament.  For full results, click HERE.

CHECKING THE STATS:  Giovanni Abriola leads the Mount with seven singles wins so far this year while Filippos Zacchiotis and Jarrett Karnibad each have six…In doubles play, Abriola and Elliot Stevens have a team-high six victories…For the year, as a team the Mount has a 17-13 (.567) record in doubles matches.

WOMEN'S TEAM LAST TIME OUT:  The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team had a busy weekend with matches against opponents from Saint Joseph's, Georgetown, Delaware State and Coppin State that featured four singles and one doubles matchup.  Shirley Liang led the Mountaineers by going 2-1 in singles and 1-0 in doubles play at the tournament.  Amber Policare added a pair of singles wins wile Riya Mathur won both of her matches at the event.  Policare posted the Mount's lone win against Saint Joseph's, taking a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Emily Elliott.  Riya Mathur recorded a 7-6 (7-4), 2-6, 10-8 win over Georgetown's Agota Mikos while Liang earned the Mount's only singles win against Delaware State, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) over Daria Jula.  Mathur teamed with Adriana Barney for a 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 10-6 win over Samara Guillory and Eva Golembiovski in the doubles match against Delaware State.  The Mount took home three singles wins against Coppin State with Policare, Liang and Ryan McCarthy posting victories. 

CHECKING THE STATS:  Shirley Liang leads the Mountaineers with four singles wins so far this season while Adriana Barney and Riya Mathur have teamed up to post a 4-1 record in doubles.
