EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 10, 2020) - In a tidy two hours, two minutes, the Mount St. Mary's baseball team dropped a midweek contest to the Navy Midshipmen by an 11-0 final.

The Mountaineers were held to a three hit shutout, marking the fourth occurrence this season. Tye GoldenThomas Savastio and Owen Wosleger tallied singles on the day.

Brendan Kennedy was solid through the first four innings. Navy was able to crack the scoreboard off of a home run and a sacrifice fly from Christian Policelli for a 2-0 lead. In the fifth, the Midshipmen broke the contest open with five runs, adding a pair in the sixth. Solo shots by Kiel Brenczewski and a second from Policelli capped off the scoring for the Midshipmen.

Mount had two threatening opportunities to score. Golden walked and Savastio planted a single to center field. Thomas Bramley walked to load the bases but a strikeout by Navy's Reece Early ended the rally. The last opportunity came in fifth on Golden and Wosleger's singles but a fly out preserved the shutout.
