2021 SEASON: Finished his senior season as one of the top fielders in Mount history, committing just seven errors in almost 1,000 chances, including a .997 percentage as a senior ... At the plate, Savastio hit .264 over 37 starts for the year with a home run, 19 runs scored and 18 RBI's ... Started off strong with a 5-for-13 series against Richmond with a pair of runs driven in ... Tallied a pair of hit streaks, with a six game streak from March 5th-14th and a seven game streak from April 16th-May 7th ... The second streak featured five multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 with four runs scored on April 17th versus FDU.Â
2020 SEASON:Â Primary first baseman for the Mountaineers, playing in all 12 contests for the shortened season ... Went 10-for-48 (.208) and was the team's leader in RBI's with seven ... Three of those RBI's came in the second game of the season, when he went 2-for-5 against St. Bonaventure on February 22nd ... Finished that series with a pair of multi-hit games and four RBI's ... Added two more runs driven in at San Francisco and scored twice in Mount's 8-5 win over UC Davis on March 7th.Â
2019 SEASON: Played in 42 games… Batted .285 (47-165) at the plate with 31 runs scored, 27 RBIs, eight doubles, five home runs, .350 on base percentage, and a .424 slugging percentage… Tied for second on the team in home runs… Finished fourth on the team in batting average, on base percentage, and RBIs… Recorded 10 multi-hit games… Against Fairleigh Dickinson, he went 2-5 with one home run… one run scored… three RBIs.
2018 SEASON:Â Played in 54 games during his rookie campaign....Batted .263 (50-190) at the plate.....Scored 21 runs....Had 17 multi-hit games on the year....Tabbed five doubles...Tallied two stolen bases....Recorded a .339 on-base percentage....Registered third on the team in RBIs (30) and homeruns (4)....In the Mountaineer's 6-1 win over top dog Bryant, he went 2-4 (.500) with his second career homerun, four runs batted in, and one run scored.
