MOUNT UPDATE
The Mount St. Mary's baseball team fell to Central Connecticut State 6-1 in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at E.T. Straw Family Stadium. With the win, the Blue Devils completed the series sweep over the Mountaineers. Senior Patrick Causa led the Mount offense after he went 3-for-4 day with a double and with his last hit, he moved into third all-time in Mount St. Mary's history with 199 career hits. 

Trevor Leamer added a multi-hit game in the eight spot and Zack Costello tabbed a hit for the only run batted in for the Mountaineers in the loss. Myles Nicholson tallied the only other base hit in the ballgame at the leadoff spot. Starter, Cole Reeder pitched three frames while he only allowed one run and struck out three batters. Ryan Florio and Noah Kirkland combined for 4.2 scoreless innings in relief for the Mount.

ABOUT THE PATRIOTS
The George Mason baseball team dropped the final game of its series against Rhode Island, 7-6, on Sunday afternoon at Bill Beck Field in Kingston, R.I. Lyons allowed three runs on six hits with four strikeouts and one walk in 5.0 innings in a no-decision for the Patriots.  Barrett gave up two runs on two hits with two walks in one inning of work.  Beasley (1-1) surrendered two runs on one hit in 1.2 innings and took the loss. Cherry allowed five runs, one earned, on three hits with nine strikeouts and five walks in a no-decision for the Rams.  LaFleur gave up one run on three hits, while Brosius (6-0) tossed two scoreless innings to earn the win. Driscoll went 3-for-5 with three RBI, Brooks was 1-for-3 with a RBI and run scored, while Popatak walked three times and scored a run for Mason.

ALL-TIME SERIES WITH GEORGE MASON
The Mountaineers are 2-10 all-time against George Mason since moving to NCAA Division I in 1989.  The Patriots have won the last five matchups, including a 19-4 win at the Mount on April 11, 2017.  The Mount's last win against George Mason was a 5-4 road victory on March 13, 2007.
