The Mount Baseball Team Takes On Coppin State For A Mid-Week Game On Tuesday

MOUNT UPDATE
The Mount St. Mary's baseball team fell to Fairleigh Dickinson 14-7 in the series finale on Sunday afternoon. The Knights completed the three game sweep over the Mountaineers this weekend and own a 4-2 record against the Mount in six games this season. Freshman catcher Thomas Bramley led the Mount St. Mary's offense on the day with three RBI, two hits, a run scored, and his first home run of his career.

Bramley, Alex Kriss, and Thomas Savastio each had a multi-hit game for the Mount while they combined for seven of the team's 10 hits on the day. The three, four, and five hitters drove in five of the team's seven runs batted in, scored five of the seven runs, and hit two home runs. After his homer today, Kriss now is second on the team with five home runs on the year and with one RBI in the game, he moved his team leading RBI total to 38. Myles Nicholson added a double and Thomas Savastio picked up a stolen base for his sixth of the year.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Coppin State's baseball team got out to a 9-0 lead and held on the defeat MEAC rival Delaware State, 11-5, on Sunday afternoon at Joe Cannon Stadium.  Winners of two of the three games in the series, the Eagles now have 64 victories over the last three-plus seasons, making this year's senior class tied for the most wins of any group of seniors in school-history.

ALL-TIME SERIES WITH COPPIN STATE
Mount St. Mary's and Coppin State have met 34 times in series history with the Mountaineers holding a 26-7-1 advantage, including 17-4-1 record in Emmitsburg and an 8-3 mark at Coppin State. The Golden Eagles clipped the Mount 4-2 in an extra inning thriller earlier in the season at E.T. Straw Family Stadium.
