ROWLYK JERSEY RETIREMENT
Former Mount star Susie Rowlyk (C'95) will have her jersey retired during a ceremony at halftime vs. CCSU, as she's set to become the first Mount women's basketball player to have her number retired. Rowlyk was named to the NEC's 20th and 25th Anniversary All-Time teams while also earning a spot on the Mount's 30th anniversary team in 2005. She was named the NEC Player of the year as a junior and senior, and was twice named All-NEC while earning All-Rookie team honors as a freshman. Rowlyk is currently ranked sixth all-time at the Mount in career points (1,502), ninth in rebounds (766), ninth in blocks (67), and first in both free throws made (425) and attempted (616). Along with her individual accolades, Rowlyk helped lead the Mount to four NEC regular season titles and three NEC Tournament crowns during her time in Emmitsburg. She was voted the 1994 NEC Tournament Most Valuable Player and earned a spot on three NEC All- Tournament teams.

ABOUT THE MOUNT
· The Mountaineers are coming off a big 61-59 win over Sacred Heart last Monday built behind a second-half comeback. Mount St. Mary's trailed by as many as 17 in the game, and 10 in the second half, but fought back for the two-point victory. Alexis Carter registered a team-high 16 points and five rebounds, while Mikal Johnson and Caroline Hummell added 14 points apiece. Johnson hit 4-of-6 from long range, marking her fourth straight game with three or more three-pointers.
· Hummell collected her 11th double-digit scoring performance of the season last time out, and continues to lead the squad in scoring with 10.6 points per game, while ranking second in rebounding, with 5.4 per contest. Carter sits behind Hummell, averaging 8.9 a game, and tops the squad in the rebounding department with 6.6 a contest. Johnson has hit a combined 14 three-pointers in the last four contests and currently ranks seventh in the league in threes made, with 39.
· The Mount owns a 251-139 all-time record at Knott Arena, including a 91-59 mark in Northeast Conference games. The Mountaineers have registered double-digit wins at home in 11 different seasons, including a pair under Head Coach Bryan Whitten.
· The Mount currently ranks second in the league in free throw percentage in league games with a 74.1-percent (140-189) mark. Hummell leads all conference play­ers with a 91.1-percent mark from the line in league games.
· Mount St. Mary's meets with Central Connecticut for the 36th time in series history on Saturday with the Mount holding a 24-11 edge all-time. The Mount swept the season series vs. CCSU last year, registering a 54-48 victory in Emmitsburg behind 13 points from Alexis Carter and 11 from Kayla Bates, and followed with a 59-55 win in New Britain, led by 25 combined points from former players Sarafina Arthur-Williams and Jessica Harris. The Mount is 13-3 all-time at home against the Blue Devils, with Central Connecticut's last win at Knott Arena coming back in 2012.

SCOUTING CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
The Blue Devils sit in a tie for third place in the conference with a 7-3 mark in league games and 8-13 record overall. They started out a perfect 6-0 in NEC play, but have dropped three of their last four, falling to Saint Francis U (87-81), Robert Morris (55-46) and LIU Brooklyn (68-62) during the stretch. Senior Aleah Epps is the squad's leading scorer (12.3 ppg), while sophomores Kiana Patterson (10.0) and Andi Lydon (9.6) have helped fuel the offense. Senior Giocelis Reynoso tops the team and ranks second in the conference in the rebounding department (9.0 rpg).
