ABOUT THE MOUNT
·
The Mountaineers defeated Fairleigh Dickinson, 75-71, in overtime on Saturday to improve to 8-7 in conference and 10-16 overall. Senior Alexis Carter tallied a game-high 22 points, including seven in overtime, to power the Mount to victory over the Knights. Caroline Hummell added 14 points and Mikal Johnson chipped in with 12.
· The Mount sits in a tie for fourth place in the NEC with Bryant and Central Connecticut, but currently holds the tiebreakers over both squads.
· With 22 points last time out, Alexis Carter now has 11 double-digit scoring performances on the season and five in her last six games. Carter leads the Mount with 12.5 points per contest in league games.
· Freshman point guard Ashlee White was named the Northeast Conference Co-Rookie of the Week last Wednes­day following a pair of high-scoring performances. White averaged 19.5 points per contest and 4.0 assists while shooting 76.5-percent from the floor and 83.3-percent from three-point range in a pair of games last week. The rookie led the Mount to a victory at Saint Francis U last Saturday, tallying a career-high 20 points and four assists to go along with five rebounds. White went 5-of-7 from the floor and 8-of-10 from the line in the contest, and registered nine points in the final five-plus minutes of the game to seal the victory for the Mount. White followed that up with a 19-point performance last Monday at Robert Morris.
· Mount St. Mary's and Wagner meet for the 58th time in series history on Monday with the Mount holding a 42-15 advantage. The Mountaineers have won each of the last 13 meetings in the series, including a 66-47 victory earlier this season in Emmitsburg. The rookies led the way in that win as Kayla Agentowicz and Ashlee White combined for 29 points and 11 rebounds.

SCOUTING WAGNER
The Seahawks are tied for ninth in the NEC with a 3-12 league mark and 4-22 record overall. They split a pair of contests last week, topping Saint Francis U, 87-71, before falling to St. Francis Brooklyn, 63-50. Rookie Kerstie Phills leads the team in both scoring (12.9 ppg) and rebounding (6.4 rpg), while Tanasia Russell is the team's other scorer in double figures, averaging 11.0 ppg.

NEXT UP
The Mount heads home for the final pair of regular season games against LIU Brooklyn (Feb. 25) and St. Francis Brooklyn (Feb. 27). Saturday's game vs. LIU marks Senior Day for the 2017 Mount St. Mary's senior class.
