MOUNT UPDATE:  The Mountaineers split a Northeast Conference doublehaeder with Robert Morris on Senior Day last Saturday, taking the opening game 4-1 before falling 9-1 in game two. The Mountaineers are 9-5 at home this season.  Marisa Mayes leads the team and is second in the Northeast Conference with a .356 average while Rachel Heinze has a school-record 17 home runs while adding 40 runs scored and 37 RBI this year.  

ABOUT WAGNER:  Wagner enters Saturday's doubleheader 20-25 overall and 4-8 in the Northeast Conference.  The Seahawks split a twinbill at Drexel earlier this week.  Wagner is led by pitcher McKaleigh Goodale, who is 9-10 with a 2.66 ERA in 126.1 innings of work.  Karen Prihoda is hitting .329 while Hana Gilbert is hitting .299 with five home runs and 30 RBI.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES: Wagner holds a 34-11 lead in the all-time series with the Mount that began back in 1990...The Mount swept last year's doubleheader, and is 3-1 against Wagner over the past two seasons...The Mount is 6-14 all-time at home against the Seahawks.

LAST YEAR VS. WAGNER: The Mount swept Wagner for the first time since 1999 last season.  The Mount won the opening game, 4-3, before taking game two, 6-2.  The Mountaineers were down to their final two outs and trailing 3-0 in the top of the seventh when Rachel Heinze delivered the game-winning grand slam to give the Mount an improbable 4-3 victory in game one.  Sam Lichtner earned the win with five strikeouts in six innings.  Morgan Alisauckas and Tori Belloc each hit two-run homers in the Mount's 6-2 win in game two.  Full Recap of last year's doubleheader.

ODDS AND ENDS:  Rachel Heinze's 17 home runs are second in the NEC this year, one behind Saint Francis U's Jordan Seneca...She is one home run shy of matching Liz Christiansen's Mount St. Mary's career record of 25 home runs...Marisa Mayes is second in the NEC with a .356 average, trailing LIU's Victoria Zamora, who is hitting .363...Sam Lichtner has a 2.47 ERA over her past three starts.
