ABOUT DELAWARE:  Delaware enters Tuesday's doubleheader 26-17 overall and 8-7 in the Colonial Athletic Association.  The Blue Hens were swept in a three-game series by No. 6 James Madison over the weekend. Delaware is 14-7 at home this season.  Maria Kondravy leads the team with a .377 average and 13 doubles while Leanna Gearhart is hitting .359 with a team-high 39 stolen bases.  Anna Steinmetz leads the team with 11 home runs and 38 RBI.  In the circle, Kiersten Coffman (16-6, 3.08 ERA, 116 K's) and Carolyn Szymanski (10-9, 3.07 ERA) are the top two starters.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES:  The Mountaineers are 0-16 all-time against Delaware in the series that dates back to 1993.  The Mount dropped the last meeting, 5-4, on Feb. 22, 2013.  Prior to that, the teams had not met since 2002.  The Mountaineers are 0-9 all-time on the road against the Blue Hens.

LAST MEETING:  The Mount fell to Delaware, 5-4, in eight innings at the Jacksonville Invitational on Feb. 22, 2013.  Trailing 4-0 heading to the top of the seventh, the Mount scored four times to force extra innings.  Alexa Tuck, Megan Baker and Erin Leddy each singled to load the bases with two outs.  Holly Buckel followed with a two-run single to left, and Liz Christiansen then hit a two-run single of her own to tie the score.  The Mount loaded the bases in the top of the eight, but was unable to score.  In the bottom of the inning, Delaware loaded the bases, and scored the game-winning run on a Mount error.

UP NEXT:  The Mountaineers host Robert Morris on Saturday, April 30, for a 1:00 p.m. doubleheader at Our Lady of the Meadows Field.  The Mount will be honoring its senior class that day.
