Tucson, Ariz. (March 5, 2016)--The Mount St. Mary's softball team lost to Saint Francis U and UTEP at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational on Saturday.

The Mount fell to the Red Flash, 10-2, in the first agme of the day.  The Mount took a 1-0 lead in the first on a Rachel Gavigan RBI.  The Red Flash rallied to take a 4-1 lead after four innings.  Rachel Heinze then connected for her team-leading third home run to cut the gap to 4-2.  Saint Francis, however, scored six times in the bottom of the fifth to secure the win.

UTEP scored 11 times in the fourth inning to break open a 3-1 game en route to a 16-1 victory in the Mount's second game.  Marisa Mayes went 1-for-2 with an RBI in the game.
