Mount Update:  The Mount dropped three games at the Towson Tiger Invitational last weekend.  The Mount hit four home runs on the weekend, including Rachel Heinze's team-leading sixth of the season. Marian Ruf leads the team with a .327 average while Marisa Mayes is hitting .302.  Heinze leads the team with 16 RBI and her six home runs.

About Coppin State:  Coppin State lost all three games of their Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opening series at Norfolk State this past weekend.  The Eagles are 0-13 on the season, including 0-7 on the road.  Danielle Smith leads teh team with a .488 average, six doubles and 10 runs scored.

The All-Time Series:  The Mount swept a doubleheader at Coppin State on March 12, and holds a 26-5 lead in the all-time series.  The Mountaineers are 16-1 all-time at home against the Eagles.  The Mount has won the past four matchups in the series.

About Morgan State:  Morgan State opened MEAC play with a 1-2 record in their series with Hampton.  The Bears are 5-16 on the season, including a 1-5 mark on the road.

The All-Time Series:  Morgan State defeated the Mount, 6-1, on March 11 to even the all-time series at 12-12.  The Bears have won the past two meetings in the series.  The Mountaineers are 8-7 all-time at home against Morgan State.

Home Opener:  The doubleheader with Coppin State is the home opener for the Mountaineers this season.  The Mount is 4-6 in home-opening doubleheaders under head coach Anna Nagro.  Last year, the Mount split with Cornell in the home-opening twinbill on March 22.

Heinze's Homers:  Rachel Heinze leads the Mountaineers with six home runs this season.  Heinze has 13 career long balls for the Mount, which is tied for sixht on the Mount's all-time list.  The six home runs are already tied for the 10th-best single-season mark in Mount history.  The school records for career home runs is 25, set by Liz Christiansen (2009-13).  Christiansen also owns the single-season record of 11, set during the 2010 season.
