Towson, Md. (March 19, 2016)--THe Mount St. Mary's softball team fell to Fordham, 8-0, on Saturday at the Towson Tiger Invitational.  The Mount's game with Villanova later in the day was cancelled.

Fordham (15-14) scored single runs in the bottom of the first and third innings to take a 2-0 advantage.  The Rams then scored three runs in fifth and the sixth to post the win,

Jessica Greenewald and Marisa Mayes each had a hit for the Mount in the loss.  Sam Lichtner struck out five while pitching a complete game.

The Mountaineers will host Coppin State for its home opener on Tuesday, March 22.  The doubleheader starts at 2:00 p.m.
