MOUNT UPDATE:  The Mount lost at Richmond, 9-6, last Tuesday to fall to 1-2 on the season.  Bubba Johnson had a team-high three assists while six different players scored goals.  The Mount rallied from a 6-1 first-half deficit to tie the game at 6-6 with just under 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter.  Richmond, however, was able to hold the Mount scoreless the rest of the way to pull out the 9-6 win.  Matt Vierheller made five saves in the game.  The Mount held a 26-to-17 edge in shots.

ABOUT GEORGETOWN:  Georgetown lost to Towson, 10-7, on Saturday to fall to 0-2 on the season.  Daniel Bucaro led the Hoyas with three goals against Towson, and he leads the team with six points (5g, 1a).  Devon Lewis has three goals on the year as well.  Nick Marrocco has an 11.00 GAA and a .542 save percentage in two games while Riley Mann has won 11-of-23 (.478) of his face-offs.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES:  This will be the 33rd meeting all-time between the Mount and Georgetown with the series tied at 16 wins each.  The Hoyas have won 15 of the past 16 matchups, including an 11-5 victory at the Mount last year.  The Mount's last victory against the Hoyas was a 14-6 win on March 12, 2013, at Waldron Family Stadium in Emmitsburg.

LAST YEAR'S MEETING:  Mount St. Mary's lost to visiting Georgetown, 11-5, last season at Waldron Family Stadium.  The Mount jumped to a 3-1 lead early in the second quarter behind goals from Mike Moynihan, Evan Gormley and Tommy Lyons.  Bubba Johnson handed out assists on two of the three goals.  The Hoyas responded by scoring the final five goals of the second quarter for a 6-3 halftime lead.  A three-goal outburst over a span of 1:07 late in the quarter snapped a 3-3 tie.  The Hoyas stretched the advantage to 10-4 midway through the fourth quarter before Mikey Ripa scored his first goal of the season for the Mount with 3:50 left.  Georgetown's Matthew Behrens rounded out the scoring.  Click HERE for full recap.

HAT TRICKS:  Evan Gormley recorded a career-high four goals in the Mount's 14-11 win at Delaware in the season opener.  Bubba Johnson added a hat trick in that game as well while Mark Hojnoski had three goals in the loss at Towson.

BALANCED SCORING:  Mark Hojnoski (5g, 2a) and Bubba Johnson (3g, 4a) are tied for the team lead with seven points.  Ryan Lamon has six points (4g, 2a) and Evan Gormley five (4g, 1a).  The Mount has had 11 different players score a goal this season.

UP NEXT:  The Mount hosts Furman at noon on Saturday, March 5, for the home opener at Waldron Family Stadium.
