MOUNT UPDATE: Winners of two of their last three games, the Mountaineers look to build on recent success with a home doubleheader versus in-state opponent Coppin State at Our Lady of the Meadows Field on Wednesday. The Mount is in the midst of a six-game homestand that concludes on Saturday with a twinbill versus reigning Northeast Conference champion Bryant to kick off league play.

LAST TIME OUT: The Mount is coming off a split of Sunday's home doubleheader versus Cornell. The Mount posted an 8-5 win in the opening game while seeing a late rally come up short in a 9-7 loss in game two. Marisa Mayes belted a go-ahead three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth to pace the Mount to an 8-5 win in the opening game. Rachel Teti and Niki Gonzalez also added home runs on the day.

ABOUT COPPIN STATE: The Eagles have gone 0-12 so far this season with two losses to NEC opponent Saint Francis U and one to Wagner. Due to weather-related cancellations, Coppin State has not competed since a 14-1 loss to South Carolina-Upstate on Feb. 28. Candice Van Horn has been Coppin State's most consistent hitter with a team-best .308 batting average to go with two home runs and five RBIs.

LAST TIME VS. COPPIN STATE: The Mountaineers dug themselves a 4-0 hole through three innings and battled back to force extra innings in last year's 6-5 road loss at Coppin State. Marisa Mayes led the Mount with a pair of doubles in the game, while Rachel Gavigan hit her second home run of the season on the day.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. COPPIN STATE: Mount St. Mary's holds a 22-5 all-time record versus Coppin State, including a 14-1 mark versus the Eagles in Emmitsburg, Md. The Mountaineers won the first nine meetings dating back to the first matchup in 1993. Coppin State has won four of the last six meetings, however, including a 6-5 win in Baltimore in 2014.

POP: Six different players have hit home runs for the Mount this season, led by four by freshman Morgan Alisauckas. Through 19 games, the Mount has recorded 11 home runs. A year ago, Rachel Gavigan posted a team-high four home runs for the Mount, which hit 12 home runs in 44 games overall.

IN THE CIRCLE: Freshman Marian Ruf leads the Mount with a 4.67 ERA and a team-best two victories in nine complete games. The Mount's rotation also features senior Danni Cummings (0-5, 9.94 ERA) and sophomore Sam Lichtner (1-4, 10.89 ERA).

UP NEXT: Mount St. Mary's hosts Bryant at Our Lady of the Meadows Field on Saturday, March 28, before heading to Robert Morris for a doubleheader on Sunday in Moon Township, Pa.
