FIRST FIVE
1.  Mount St. Mary's lost to St. Francis Brooklyn, 73-67, in overtime on Thursday night to fall to 5-4 in the NEC and 9-11 overall.  The Mount held a 61-56 lead with under a minute to go before the Terriers rallied to force overtime. Freshman guard Junior Robinson tallied a career-high 22 points for the Mount while Chris Martin added 14 off the bench.  St. Francis freshman Glenn Sanabria hit a three-pointer with 24 seconds left to force the overtime period.  The Mount forced the Terriers into 18 turnovers in the game.
 
2.  Defense has been the key to the Mount's 5-2 record over the past seven games.  Over that stretch, the Mount is holding the opposition to 56.1 points, 37.7 percent from the field, and 26.5 percent from three-point range.  In NEC games, the Mount leads the conference in scoring defense (60.9), field goal percentage defense (.395) and three-point defense (.287).

3. Junior Robinson scored 22 points in the Mount's loss to St. Francis Brooklyn. He is the fifth different Mount player to score 20 or more points in a game this season, joining Gregory Graves (twice), Chris Martin, Andrew Smeathers and Byron Ashe.  Will Miller had a 20-point game last year, giving the Mount six players on the roster with at least one career 20-point effort.

4. The Mountaineers have played four overtime games this season, including three overtime losses in Northeast Conference play.  This is the most overtime games in a season by a Mount team since the 2003-04 squad have five.

5. The Mountaineers continue their four-game road swing on Thursday, February 5, at Bryant.  The game will air live on ESPNU.
