Men’s Basketball Releases Metro Conference Slate of Games

EMMITSBURG, Md. (August 20, 2026) – The Metro Conference announced their 2026-27 men's basketball schedule on Thursday, releasing the 20-game slate of their 13 institutions, including Mount St. Mary's.

Combined with their non-conference schedule, announced on August 6, the Mount will play 31 regular season games along with a home exhibition game on October 28 against Navy. Knott Arena at the PNC Spots Complex will host 16 of those games, the most as a Division I team and the most since the Mount's NCAA Division II Runner-up campaign of 1980-81.

Metro Conference games begin on December 4 and 6 with a road trip to Western New York, facing Niagara, followed by Canisius. As for games in Knott Arena, they begin December 29 with a contest against the Marist Red Foxes.

The 2027 portion of the schedule begins with a home game against Manhattan (Jan. 3). One week later (Jan. 10), defending Metro champion Siena will challenge the Mount in Emmitsburg. Home dates for the remainder of January include Fairfield (Jan. 16), Saint Peter's (Jan. 18), and Merrimack (Jan. 29).

Winter Homecoming headlines February as the Mount welcomes Sacred Heart for a game on February 13. The contest is one of four home dates in February, with Rider (Feb. 11) and Canisius (Feb. 26) coming to the Mount prior to the February 28 home and regular season finale versus Niagara.

Road trips within the conference are Rider (Jan. 8), Sacred Heart (Jan. 13), Manhattan and Iona (Jan. 22, 24), Fairfield (Jan. 31) and Siena (Feb. 5), and Marist and Quinnipiac (Feb. 19, 21).
