GEORGE MASON SPRING INVITATIONAL RESULTS
April 12, 2014--Kristen Galligan broke the Mount's 17-year old record in the 10,000m run to highlight the Mount track teams on Saturday. Galligan, running at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic, ran a time of 35:58.17 to break Rebeccah Wassner's school record of 36:02.32 set on April 24, 1997.
At the George Mason Spring Invitational, Madeleine Midles finished second in the hammer throw with a toss of 49.30m (161' 9") while Kelly Yanucil was third in the javelin with a personal-best toss of 43.17m (141' 8"). Elissa Ingram met the ECAC qualifying standard by finishing in third place in the pole vault with a mark of 3.70m (12' 1.5"). Sprinter Jessica Whitmore qualified for the ECAC Championships with a time of 12.07 seconds in the 100m dash
For the men, Coby Rosemier-Gussio finished in fifth place in the 100m dash with a time of 10.70 seconds after recording a time of 10.67 in the preliminaries. Rosemier-Gussio also finished in eighth place in the long jump (6.68m, 21' 11"). Joshua Poole was below the IC4A qualifying standard with a personal-best time of 48.30 to finish in 10th place in the 400m dash. Joseph Barbato finished in seventh place in the javelin (50.95m).
