Mount Men's Lacrosse to Host Johns Hopkins on Monday Afternoon

MOUNT UPDATE:  Mount St. Mary's fell to 0-13 with a 9-7 loss at No. 17 Bryant on Saturday afternoon.  Kyle McDonough dished out a career-best four assists while Clayton Wainer and Bubba Johnson each had a pair of goals.  Chris Klaiber made nine saves while allowing eight goals over 53:19 of action.  Johnson leads the Mount with 18 points (11g, 7a) while Wainer has contributed 12 points (10g, 2a).  Te Mountaineers have had 20 different players score a goal this season.  Klaiber has a .511 save percentage and a 12.99 goals against average in 11 games played in the cage. 

ABOUT THE BLUE JAYS: Wells Stanwick scored three goals as Johns Hopkins downed No. 3 Maryland, 11-6, on Saturday afternoon.  The Blue Jays scored four consecutive goals to stretch a 2-1 lead to 6-1 in the third quarter.  Maryland would get no closer than three the rest of the way.  Stanwick paces Johns Hopkins with 44 points (14g, 30a) while Ryan Brown has 43 points, including a team-best 32 goals.  Eric Schneider has started all 10 games in the cage, posting an 8.62 goals against average and a .542 save percentage.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES:  Johns Hopkins is 5-0 all-time against the Mount in the series that started in 2006.  Last season, the Blue Jays earned a 19-9 home win over the Mountaineers.  The Mount is 0-2 all-time at home against Johns Hopkins, falling 15-3 in 2007 and 12-5 in 2009.

LAST YEAR'S MEETING:  Johns Hopkins outscored the Mount, 7-2, in the third quarter to break open a 6-3 game en route to a 19-9 win last season.  Brett Schmidt recorded a hat trick while Andrew Scalley had two goals and two assists for the Mount in the loss.  Wells Stanwick had a nine-point day, finishing with five goals and four assists for the Blue Jays.  Brandon Benn added four goals with John Greeley adding four assists for Johns Hopkins in the win.
