MOUNT UPDATE: Mount St. Mary's can clinch its first NEC Regular Season title since 2001 with a win over Robert Morris on Monday night. Winners of eight in a row, the Mount is tied with RMU for first in the regular season standings with the winner of Monday's game earning home-court advantage in the upcoming NEC Tournament. All eight NEC playoff spots have been clinched with seeding to be determined based on Monday's results.
LAST TIME OUT: The Mount built an 18-point first half lead and held on for a 64-52 win at Wagner on March 1. Jenn Carney led the Mount on offense with 15 points. Defensively, the Mount held the Seahawks under 10 points for the first 16:30 of the game. It was the sixth win by double digits for the Mount on the current eight-game winning streak.
ABOUT ROBERT MORRIS: Reigning NEC Player of the Year Artemis Spanou averages 19.0 points and 14.8 rebounds per game. After winning five games in a row, the Colonials have lost their last two, falling to St. Francis Brooklyn, 93-82, and Saint Francis U, 78-73. Voted the NEC Preseason favorite by the league's coaches, Robert Morris is 12-4 at home this season.
LAST TIME VS. ROBERT MORRIS: Sydney Henderson led all scorers with 25 points, but a second-half comeback fell short versus Robert Morris, 67-60, on Feb. 1. Artemis Spanou posted a double-double with 13 points and a game-high 14 rebounds for the Colonials. The Mount was outrebounded, 40-34, on the day.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. ROBERT MORRIS: The Mount leads the all-time series with Robert Morris, 33-18. The Mount is looking for its third win over the Colonials since Bryan Whitten took over the program before the start of the 2007-08 season.
EIGHT-GAME WINNING STREAK: The Mount is outscoring opponents by an average of 15.5 points on the current eight-game winning streak. The team is also shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 43.0 from beyond the three-point line in the last eight games.
