MOUNT UPDATE: Of the Mount's everyday starters, freshmen Jessica Greenewald and Rachel Heinze are leading the squad with batting averages of .294 and .250, respectively. Pitching has carried the Mount to its early season success with a team ERA of 1.83. Nicole Pagano (1.15 ERA) and Danni Cummings (1.84) both have ERA's under two, and the staff including freshman Sam Lichtner has combined for 113 strikeouts this season.

LAST TIME OUT: The Mountaineers split a road doubleheader at George Washington on March 11. In game one, senior pitcher Nicole Pagano won her sixth game of the season with a complete game four-hitter. Pagano gave up one run and struck out eight in her 11th appearance this season. Cat Clifford, Jessica Greenewald and Lindsey Ruhle all had two hits in the doubleheader for the Mount.

ABOUT UMASS-LOWELL: Playing its first season at the Division I level, UMass-Lowell is 1-10 and has lost 10 in a row since an 8-7 victory over Campbell in the season opener. Brianna Martin is the Riverhawks' lone player hitting better than .300 with a .345 average on the year. UMass-Lowell has used three starting pitchers this season with Lauren Ramirez posting a team-best 4.11 ERA.

ABOUT YOUNGSTOWN STATE: The Penguins have had two three-game winning streaks this season. Key wins on the season for YSU came against Virginia, Western Michigan and UNC Wilmington. Miranda Castiglione paces the offense with three home runs, 14 runs scored and a .440 batting average.

ABOUT COPPIN STATE: The Eagles are 2-5 on the year with a pair of wins over Division II Bowie State. Six different Coppin State players are hitting .316 or better, including Alyssa Barker and her .667 average. Baker has 10 hits in 15 at bats and is tied for the team lead with three doubles.

CHASING HISTORY: Senior pitcher Nicole Pagano is two wins away from tying the Mount's record for career wins of 46 set by Zena Edwards in 1989. Pagano, who has racked up six of her 44 wins this season, entered the year tied with Jamie Fowler for second with 38.
