FIRST FIVE
1. Mount St. Mary's is coming off an 83-49 loss at Wake Forest last Wednesday. Junior walk-on Liam McManimon led the Mountaineers with 10 points, hitting three three-pointers over the final 2:25 of the contest. Junior Robinson chipped in nine points and four assists in the loss. The Mount shot just 35.3 percent overall and was 6-for-28 (.214) from three-point range in the game.
2. Mount St. Mary's has struggled on the offensive end of the floor so far in 2014-15. After averaging 75.9 points per game last season, the Mountaineers are scoring 54.5 points per game this season. The Mount is shooting 38.8 percent from the field, and is 24-for-91 (.264) from three-point range.
3. Freshman forward Mawdo Sallah provided a spark off the bench at Wake Forest, blocking four shots while adding three rebounds in 16 minutes of action. He also scored his first collegiate basket in the loss.
4. This will be the first meeting between the Mount and Seton Hall since December 3, 1988. The Pirates hold a 6-3 lead in the all-time series, , including a 6-1 mark at home. The two teams met for the first time on Dec. 20, 1913 (SH 47, MSM 23). The Mount's last win over Seton Hall was a 41-38 victory at home on March 1, 1939.
5. Mount St. Mary's faces longtime rival Loyola on Saturday, Dec. 6. It will be the 170th meeting between the two schools in the most-played rivalry in the state of Maryland with the Mount holding a 97-72 lead in the series. The game will air live on MASN.
