Box Score 2 Winter Haven, Fla. (February 25, 2012)—Mount St. Mary's dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Saint Louis on Saturday afternoon. The Mount fell 2-1 in the opener before falling 10-5 in the nightcap.
In the opening game, Brady Feigl struck out six in four innings of work in a no decision. The Mount held a 1-0 lead after five innings, but the Billikens (4-3) scored single runs in the sixth and seventh innings to post the win.
Nick Walker and Josh Winter each went 1-for-3 at the plate. Andrew Schrock took the loss, allowing two runs in two innings of work.
In the second game, the Mount fell by the score of 10-5. Mark Quaranta went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored while Sam Nott was 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles and two RBI. Austin Carter was 1-for-3 with a pair of RBI as well. Starting pitcher Dan Horner took the loss.
The teams conclude the four-game series tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.
