• Freshman F Artemis Spanou paced the Colonials with 28 points and 11 rebounds against the Knights. The freshman posted 11 points and 14 rebounds in a 64-55 loss to Monmouth on Feb. 19. Spanou ranks second on the team with 13.0 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
• Junior F Mary Durojaye added 10 points and seven rebounds on Monday. The junior tallied 20 points and 15 rebounds in an 81-73 loss to Saint Francis (Pa.) on Feb. 14. Durojaye ranks fourth on the team with 10.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
• Senior G Yohanna Morton has missed the last six games for Robert Morris. Morton is paces the team with 14.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. The Colonials are 2-4 without her in the lineup.

last time we met... Robert Morris defeated Mount St. Mary's 74-56 on Jan. 8, 2011. Mary Dunn paced the Mount with 21 points while Selina Mann added 12 points. Yohanna Morton fueled the Colonials wth 24 points, including 18 points in the first half. quick hits on the long island  game... Mount St. Mary's had the lead eight times in the first 16 minutes of the game. Long Island took the lead for good on a jumper with five seconds left in the first half.
• Senior Mary Dunn narrowly missed a double-double after finishing the game with 22 points and nine rebounds. It was the senior's fourth 20-point performance this season and sixth of her career. The Mount is 1-5 when Dunn reaches 20 points in a game in her career. She has moved into fourth place for career games played with 115 and will tie the program record for games played in her next appearance. The senior has 1,156 career points and can move into 17th place with 23 points while she also sits in fifth place for career rebounds with 827 and can move into fourth place with 17 caroms. Dunn has posted double figures in 13 of the 16 league games and is averaging 13.6 points per game in league games to rank sixth in the NEC.
• Junior Sandra Andresson notched her second-straight double-figure contest with 15 points against the Blackbirds. Andresson has posted double digits in three of the six games in February and is averaging a team-high 13.0 points per game in the month.
• The Mount finished 4-5 at Knott Arena in league play for the second-straight season.

the state of the mount... With two games left, the playoff picture has become very clear for the Mountaineers.
• After Fairleigh Dickinson shocked both Saint Francis (Pa.) and Robert Morris last weekend, its magic number to clinch the final playoff spot is one. The Knights can secure its postseason berth with a win against Quinnipiac or a Mount St. Mary's loss at Robert Morris on Saturday.
• The Mount will know whether it has been eliminated from postseason contention or still playing for its 21st tournament appearance in 22 years before it takes the floor against the Colonials on Saturday. Fairleigh Dickinson and Quinnipiac tip time is 12 pm. while the Mountaineers will be starting four hours later.
• Mount St. Mary's needs to win both games in Western Pennsylvania and have the Knights fall in their two games in Connecticut to beat out Fairleigh Dickinson for the last playoff spot.
• If the Mount and the Knights end the season tied, the Mountaineers hold the tiebreaker thanks to an 83-76 victory on Feb. 5 in Emmitsburg.

i'm a weekend kind of girl... Freshman Ashley Christie is averaging 12.6 points per game on the weekend this season.
• The freshman has posted double figures in her last six Saturday games and is averaging 17.0 points per game in that stretch.
• Christie is averaging 16.7 points per game in five Saturday league games.
• The freshman has posted eight of her 13 double-digit performances on the weekend. Those eight games also represent her Top-8 performances this season.

out of africa... Senior Leah Westbrooks has been awarded a $25,000 grant from Shooting Touch, Inc. for a 10-month Sabbatical Program.
• Westbrooks will be working in South Africa and Western Zimbabwe during her 10-months.

nice moment for scheitrum... Senior Kristin Scheitrum did not play for nearly a year and a half after suffering a career-ending injury until the Mount's Senior Day.
• Scheitrum got into the final minute of the game against St. Francis (N.Y.) on Feb. 19 and scored a layup with 55 seconds left.
• It was the senior's first points since Dec. 21, 2008 against Virginia.

a different kind of year in 2010-11... In head coach Bryan Whitten's first three years success came from its defense.
• This season has been a different story as the Mount has allowed 60 points in 18 of its 27 games and the opponent is averaging 64.2 points per game. The squad has allowed 50 points per less in three of the last five games.
• Last season, the Mount allowed 60 points or more 11 times. The Mountaineers also ranked second in scoring defense (58.7 ppg.) in the Northeast Conference and 37th in Division I.
• Offensively, Mount St. Mary's has scored 60 points 12 times this season, including four 70-point performances and one 80-point game. The Mount is 4-1 when it scores 70 points, but just 6-5 when reaching 60 points this season.
• The squad has scored over 60 points eight times in its last 16 games, including all five contests over 70 points.

• Sophomore Selina Mann has seven double-figure games on the road including a career-high 26 points at San Jose State on Dec. 29. Freshman Ashley Christie also has seven 10-point games on the road while sophomore Tara Lonergan and freshman Kayla Grossett each have three, and junior Sandra Andresson, sophomore Sydney Henderson, freshman Kelly Guerriero and freshman Jessie Kaufman each have one double-digit game on the road.

stat stuffer... Sophomore Selina Mann has done it all on the court this season whether its scoring, rebounding, assisting or thievery.
• Mann has scored double figures in 10 games this season, all in the last 18 games. The sophomore notched a career-high 26 points against San Jose State on Dec. 29 and scored the game-winning basket against San Francisco on Dec. 31.
• The sophomore has grabbed at least five rebounds six times this season, including a season-high eight caroms at Central Connecticut State on Jan. 31. The 5-4 guard has also recorded 10-board game on her career resume.
• Mann has dished out four assists 19 times this season, including a career-high eight helpers against the Dons and seven dimes at Navy on Dec. 8, at St. Francis (N.Y.) on Jan. 15 and at Bryant on Jan. 29. She ranks second in the league with 4.38 assists per game.
• The sophomore has recorded two steals in 23 of the 27 games and four steals nine times, including a program-record 10 thefts against Sacred Heart on Jan. 24. Mann currently leads the conference with 2.88 steals per game.

• The sophomore became the third player in program history and the second player in Mount Division I history to record 10 steals in a game. She joins Karla Green (at Richmond, Feb. 20, 1983) and Kim Rhock (St. Francis (N.Y.), Feb. 13, 1990) as the only players in program history to reach double-digit thefts.
• Mann becomes the second player to record a double-double with points and steals, although Rhock finished her game against the Terriers with a triple-double (19 points, 14 rebounds and 10 steals).

wins vs. losses... Mount St. Mary's is averaging 69.2 points per game in its seven wins compared to 52.6 points per game in the 19 loses. The squad is 5-5 when it reaches 60 points.
• The Mountaineers are shooting 41.8 percent when it wins, but just 33.9 percent in a loss.
• Mount St. Mary's has been outrebounded in every game except Quinnipiac (Jan. 4), St. Francis (N.Y.) (Jan. 15), Monmouth (Feb. 7), Wagner (Feb. 12) and St. Francis (N.Y.) (Feb. 19), but are only -1.5 on boards in wins and -9.8 in losses.

preseason poll... Mount St. Mary's was picked 11th according to the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. Long Island, who advanced to the NEC Championship Game last season, received six first-place votes to be tabbed as the preseason favorite while the defending league regular season champions Robert Morris was selected second after garnering three first-place nods. Sacred Heart placed third ahead of the defending NEC Tournament champions Saint Francis (Pa.), who picked up two first place votes while Monmouth nabbed the final first-place vote to finish fifth in the poll. Quinnipiac, Central Connecticut State, Bryant, Fairleigh Dickinson, Wagner, the Mount and St. Francis (N.Y.) rounded out the 12-team field.

the good and the bad for henderson... Sophomore Sydney Henderson scored a career-high 17 points against Virginia on Nov. 14.
• Henderson scored 13 of her 17 points in the first eight minutes of the second half
• After establishing a new career-high on her bucket with 12:01 left in the second half, the sophomore left the game with a knee injury.
• Henderson will miss the rest of the season due to the knee injury sustained in the game against Virginia.

let's play to 60 points... Mount St. Mary's is most successful under head coach Bryan Whitten when it scores 60 points in a game or holds the opponent under that total.
• The Mount is 23-17 when it scores 60 points in a game, but 16-54 when it does not reach 60 points.

• Dunn posted a career-high 26 points against San Francisco on Dec. 31, had 21 points against Robert Morris on Jan. 8, 20 points against Bryant on Jan. 29 and 22 points against Long Island on Feb. 21. The senior also accomplished the feat twice last season when she recorded 21 points against Colgate on Nov. 24, 2009 and had 20 points against Long Island on Jan. 16, 2010.
• Mann became the first player this season to turn the trick when she posted a career-high 26 points against San Jose State on Dec. 29, 2010.
• Christie became the third player this season to reach 20 points after coming up short by one or two points twice this season. The freshman posted a career-high 21 points against Fairleigh Dickinson on Feb. 5.
• Andresson joined the 20-point club with a career-high 25 points against Monmouth on Feb. 7.
• The Mount has registered 23 20-point performances and two 30-point games under head coach Bryan Whitten. The squad is 13-10 when a player reaches 20 points and 2-0 when a player scores 30 in a contest.

notes on dunn's 1,000 point game... Senior Mary Dunn became the 25th player in program history to reach 1,000 points with her layup at 17:05 in the second half against Saint Francis (Pa.) on Jan. 10.
• Dunn is the first player to reach the milestone since current assistant coach Brianna Gauthier joined the club against Fairleigh Dickinson on Feb. 7, 2009.
• Dunn is the 15th player to reach 1,000 points at home. The Mount is 11-3 in those games.
• The senior is the third 1,000-point scorer head coach Bryan Whitten has coached at the Mount, joining Gauthier and Tiffany Green (2007-08).
• Dunn is the eighth player in program history to have 1,000 points and 700 rebounds in her career.

• Senior Leah Westbrooks has 570 career points to rank 48th in program history and can move into 47th place with 18 points. Westbrooks also ranks 13th in Mount Division I history with six double-doubles and can move into eighth place with four double-doubles.
• Junior Sandra Andresson currently sits in 51st place in program history with 516 points and can move into 50th place with seven points.
• Sophomore Sydney Henderson has 160 career points to sit in 85th place. She can move into 84th place with 13 points and 83rd place with 15 points.
• Sophomore Selina Mann has 318 points for her career to rank 67th in team history and can move into 66th place with 13 points.
• Freshman Ashley Christie has 264 points in her first season to rank 74th in program history. The freshman can move into 73rd place with 11 points.

1,000 games in program history... Mount St. Mary's played its 1,000th game in program history on Jan. 8 against Robert Morris.

bcs schools on the schedule... The first six games in the 2010-11 campaign could have arguably been the toughest start in program history.
• The Mount faced Atlantic Coast Conference member Virginia in the season opener and Big East affiliates Cincinnati on Nov. 23 and Pittsburgh on Dec. 4.
• It marked the first time since the 2000-01 season the Mount will play three BCS schools when the squad faced Virginia (ACC), Georgia Tech (ACC) and Seton Hall (Big East).
• Mount St. Mary's also played three big conference schools in 1988-89 and 1994-95.
