Mount has won seven of the last 11 meetings in the series and holds
a 29-14 edge all-time.
• The Mount holds a 14-6 advantage in Staten Island, but
Wagner has won two of the last three games at the Spiro Center
• The Mount will be playing a team in consecutive games in the
regular season for the third time in program history and for the
second-straight year against the Seahawks. The Mountaineers also
played Franklin & Marshall in back-to-back games in the 1975-76
season, but there were 49 days in between contests.
• It will also be the seventh time in program history the
Mount will face the same time twice in a seven-day span The team
that wins the first game has completed the sweep in each of the
previous six occasions.

Monmouth on Feb. 5. The junior leads the team with 13.0 points and
6.3 rebounds per game.
• Sophomore F Marie-Laurence Archambault ranks third on the
squad with 11.7 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. The sophomore has
scored 20 points twice this season, including 22 in a 65-55 loss to
Central Connecticut State on Jan. 29.
last time we met... Wagner defeated Mount St.
Mary's 64-57 on Feb. 6, 2010. Mary Dunn paced the Mount with 16
points. Megan Mahoney fueled the Seahawks with 20 points. Andrea
Reed added two points and Stephanie McBride chipped in 11
points.

a career-high 25 points to lead Mount St. Mary's past Monmouth
51-45 on Monday.
quick hits on the monmouth game... Junior
Sandra Andresson scored 19 of her career-high 25 points in the
first half to break her previous career best of 18 points in the
first half. The junior nearly outscored the Hawks, who went into
the locker room with 20 points. Andresson hit back-to-back baskets
at the 6:32 and 5:53 marks to put the Mountaineers up for good.
• Andresson became the fourth player on the squad to register
a 20-point game this season, joining senior Mary Dunn (three
times), sophomore Selina Mann (vs. San Jose State, 12-29-10) and
freshman Ashley Christie (vs. Fairleigh Dickinson, 2-5-11). It
marks the first time since the 2007-08 season Mount St. Mary's has
had four players record a 20-point game in a season. The last two
campaigns, the team had three different players with a 20-point
performance.
• The Mount won back-to-back games for the second time this
season after the Mountaineers also defeated Fairleigh Dickinson
83-76 on Feb. 5. The team also won two straight in California
against San Jose State on Dec. 29 and San Francisco on Dec. 30. The
last time Mount St. Mary's swept a league weekend was last season
against Central Connecticut State and Bryant.
• The Mount has posted eight winning streaks under head coach
Bryan Whitten, but the squad looks for its second three-game
winning streak in his tenure. The last time the Mountaineers won
three straight was when it took the last three games of the 2008-09
regular season.

points in a game. The Mount is 5-2 when it scores 65 points in a

boards, Dunn will become the fifth player in program history with
1,100 points and 800 rebounds.
the state of the mount... Mount St. Mary's and
Wagner are tied with a 3-9 mark in the Northeast Conference.
• The Mount is two games behind Fairleigh Dickinson for the
final spot while the Seahawks are 2.5 games behind the Knights. The
Mountaineers defeated Fairleigh Dickinson while the Knights downed
Wagner.
• If the Mount sweeps the Seahawks it would give Mount St.
Mary's the tiebreaker with the Staten Island program.
• If the two teams split, then the Mount would need to beat a
team higher than Sacred Heart in the standings to own the
tiebreaker with Wagner.
• A sweep or a split would also give Mount St. Mary's a
favorable three-way tiebreaker scenario with the Seahawks and
Fairleigh Dickinson if it came down to a three-way tiebreaker for
the final spot.
• At least a split is crucial to the Mount's postseason hopes.
If Wagner sweeps the Mountaineers, then Mount St. Mary's would have
to win its final four games while the Seahawks and Knights would
have to fall in their final four games in order for the Mount to
beat out both teams.
