This is Sports Informantion Intern Kevin Jones and I recently talked to Allie Vadas, a member of the softball team. I asked her many questions about the season and how she thinks the team will do. I also asked her personal questions about goals and leadership.

• 1. In comparison to last how much better do you think the team is? We have a lot of depth this year with 22 girls on the team who all want to play. We also have five seniors who want to win a championship before we leave the Mount!
• 2. Do you have any personal goals for this year, if so what are they? I want to stay comfortable and confident at the plate, be positive and a good leader, and take advantage of opportunities.
• 3. What are the team's goals for this year? Be one of the top four teams in the conference, finish with a winning record, go to the NEC tournament, and then win the NEC tournament!
• 4. How do you think the team will do in conference this year? We are definitely going to surprise some people this season and hold our own in the conference. We were picked seventh in the preseason poll but we know we are better than that, and will get a chance to prove it this season.
• 5. What kind of relationship do you have with your teammates have off the field? We all get along really well on and off the field. We are a crazy group of girls and we always have fun when we are together.
• 6. Who do you think will be the team's biggest competition this year? LIU is always tough competition... and Sacred Heart won the conference last season so they are going to be fun to play as well.
• 7. Who are you most excited to play this year? Monmouth... because the school is 10 minutes away from my house so my family can see me play.
• 8. Away from softball what do you do with your free time? Hang out with friends, go to the beach, and spend time with family.
• 9. What music do you listen to during your pre-game warm-up? Mostly rap.... I listen to Lil Wayne - I'm Me before every game.
• 10. Who is your favorite athlete? The entire Yankee infield!
• 11. Who do you look up to the most? My younger brother Matt. He has been through a lot for an 18 year old and he has still kept a positive attitude about things and has already has accomplished so much.
• 12. What is your favorite TV show and actor? I don't have a favorite, but I like Entourage, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, KELonEarth, and of course Laguna Beach and The Hills.... As for my favorite actors are Adrian Grenier and Jerry Ferrara from Entourage.
