Softball's Game Against George Mason Suspended In Fifth Inning Due To Inclement Weather

FAIRFAX, Va. - The Mount St. Mary's softball game against George Mason has been suspended due to inclement weather and field conditions. The Patriots currently lead the contest 8-3 in the top of the fifth inning of the opening game of the Mason Cherry Blossom Invitational.

The game is set to resume on Saturday if conditions allow. The Mount (11-5) is coming off four wins at the Mason Mid-Week Invitational on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Saturday's games against Albany (9 a.m.) and George Mason (11:30 a.m.) have also been cancelled. The tournament will resume with the completion of the Mount-George Mason game and then Albany and Cornell will play each other. Game times to be announced. After the those two games are played a revised schedule will be announced.
