FAIRFAX, Va. - The Mount St. Mary's softball game against George
Mason has been suspended due to inclement weather and field
conditions. The Patriots currently lead the contest 8-3 in the top
of the fifth inning of the opening game of the Mason Cherry Blossom
Invitational.
The game is set to resume on Saturday if conditions allow. The
Mount (11-5) is coming off four wins at the Mason Mid-Week
Invitational on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Saturday's games against Albany (9 a.m.) and George Mason (11:30
a.m.) have also been cancelled. The tournament will resume with the
completion of the Mount-George Mason game and then Albany and
Cornell will play each other. Game times to be announced. After the
those two games are played a revised schedule will be
announced.
