NEW YORK,
N.Y. Josh Winter (Timonium, Md./Boys' Latin) knocked in the

After
Wagner rallied to take the first two games of the series, Mount St.

scoring two runs in the sixth inning to take the lead and hold on
for a 6-4 victory.
With the
game tied at 4 in the top of the sixth, Kane started the rally with
a one-out walk before Eyler singled up the middle. Winter then

touched home when Joe Kavanagh (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown)
reached on an error to hand the Mount a 6-4 advantage.
Given the
lead for the second time in the contest, Feigl retired six of the
final seven batters in the contest. Chris Drechsel reached on a
single through the right side with two outs in the seventh, but
Feigl got a ground out to end the game.
The
Mountaineers opened the scoring in the second game with four run s
in the second. Kane was the catalyst for the four-run inning when
he led off the stanza with a single to center field. After Eyler
brought Kane home on a double to left center, Winter singled
through the left side to put runners on the corners. Winter then
stole second before Alex Andrews (Vienna, Va./James Madison) hit a
two-run double to score Eyler and Winter. Matt Staso (Ellicott
City, Md./Mount St. Joseph) capped the four-run inning with a
double to center to plate Andrews and give Mount St. Mary's a 4-0
advantage.
Wagner
chipped away at the lead with two runs in the third and fourth to
knot the game at 4. Drechsel cut the deficit to 4-2 on a two-run
double in the third and then Gruccio tied the game with a two-run
single in the fourth. The Mount then scored two runs in the sixth

Mount tied the game at 4 in the top of the sixth, the Seahawks
scored on Boyd's RBI single through the right side for the decisive
run.
Mount St.
Mary's threatened in the seventh with two outs, but could not tie
the game. Buddy Fields (Manassas, Va./Stonewall Jackson) singled up
the middle and Jake Darr (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson)
reached on catcher's interference before a fielder's choice got
Wagner out of the jam and end the game.
The
Mountaineers jumped out to a 1-0 advantage in the second inning.
Kane singled through the left side and came around to score on an
error.
Wagner
came back to tie the game in the bottom of the frame when Joe
Conforti was hit by the pitch with the bases loaded.
Tommy
Flynn (Reston, Va./South Lakes) helped Mount St. Mary's retake the
lead when he smacked his first collegiate home run to right field
in the third.
The
Seahawks then took the advantage for the first time in the game
with two runs in the fourth thanks to a Damian Csakai sacrifice fly
and Brian Martutartus touching home on a wild pitch for a 3-2
edge.
The Mount
tied the game in the fifth when Zach Helman (Waynesboro,
Pa./Waynesboro) walked and came around to score on a Fields RBI
single up the middle.
The
seesaw battle continued as Wagner reclaimed the margin in the
bottom of the inning on Jon Lucas' run-scoring single up the middle
for a 4-3 lead.
Once
again the Mountaineers answered in their next time at bat. Staso
walked and touched home on Winter's double to left center, but Boyd
answered for the Seahawks in bottom of the sixth with an RBI single
to hand Wagner the 5-4 decision.
