"We did a really good job of sharing the basketball," said Mount St. Mary's head coach Milan Brown. "We turned away half-open looks for wide open shots."

The Mount's seniors, Atupem and Markus Mitchell (Virginia Beach, Va./Salem) played their final regular season home game at Knott Arena. Mitchell played his 123rd career game, breaking the all-time mark of 122 held by Mark Scallion (1983-87) and Mike Grimes (1984-88). Atupem had six points and four blocks while Mitchell added six points and five rebounds in the game.

"Those two guys are absolutely two of our corner stones of the foundation of what we are trying to do here," said Brown. "They've been so solid and have been really good for us both on and off the court. If someone was to ask about what our program is about, I would point to those two and say look at them."

Devin Sweetney tallied 21 points and 14 rebounds in a losing effort for the Red Flash.

The Mount shot a sizzling 63.2 percent (36-of-57) from the field in the game, the best field goal percentage in a game by a Mount team since the school moved to NCAA Division I in 1988-89. Saint Francis (5-22, 2-14) shot 34.5 percent in the contest.

The Mount closes out the NEC regular season at Robert Morris on Saturday, February 28, at 4:00 p.m.
