Mount St. Mary's scored twice in the final 41 seconds to force

first, scoring an extra-man goal on a feed from Joe Derwent 4:49

the Red Foxes a 5-3 advantage. That lead held until the Mount
posted a furious rally to even the score. Geery Grant scored on a
pass from Joe Derwent with 41 seconds left to cut the Marist lead
to 5-4. Derwent then scored an unassisted goal with six second
left to force the extra periods.

either overtime period as Marist was able to earn the victory on
Paul Santavicca's extra-man goal just 14 seconds into the second
overtime.
